Hi, I’m Rhea. I’m 8 years old, and this is the story of how my ordinary Sunday turned into the best day ever.
It all started when my mom said we could visit the Best Toy Store in Gurgaon. I thought it would just be like any other store—with shelves of toys, some music, maybe a few games. But when I walked in, it felt different. Like magic. Like stepping into a portal where everything I imagined was real.
I didn’t know a toy store could feel like a storybook.
Chapter One: The Scent of a Rainbow
The first thing I saw was a whole section filled with colorful stationery. And then, I found them—Scentos pencils. They weren’t just any pencils. They were scented! I picked up a pink one that smelled like strawberries and a green one that reminded me of fresh apples. I closed my eyes and sniffed them one by one. It felt like my nose had entered a fruit party!
I asked the lady at the counter, “Do these pencils make my drawings smell like strawberries too?” She smiled and said, “Why don’t you try it and find out?”
So I did. I drew a rainbow and colored it in with the Scentos pencils right there at the store’s art table. And yes, it smelled like a garden of sweets. I named my drawing The Rainbow That Smelled Like Happiness.
Chapter Two: My New Best Friend
Next, I went to the doll section. Not the usual shiny ones that just stand and smile—but a shelf full of Best Friend Dolls. These dolls were different. They looked like real girls with real personalities. One had curly hair like me. One wore a tiny backpack and held a book. Another had roller skates.
But the one that caught my heart wore denim overalls and had a small paintbrush in her hand. Her box said her name was “Maya” and that she loved painting, dreaming, and helping her friends when they felt sad.
I picked her up and whispered, “Hi Maya, I think we’ll be great friends.” And in my heart, I heard her say, “I think so too.”
Mom bought her for me, and now she sits on my study table, cheering me on while I draw.
Chapter Three: Heroes in a Book
Just when I thought the day couldn’t get any better, I found something hiding behind a puzzle set—a Ben 10 drawing book! I couldn’t believe it. Ben 10 is my favorite superhero. He has that Omnitrix watch that turns him into different aliens, and he always knows what to do when trouble arrives.
This wasn’t just a coloring book. It had drawing challenges, step-by-step sketches of the aliens, and spaces to create my own superhero. I picked up a few more Scentos pencils and began designing “Strawberrazor,” an alien who could shoot fruit-scented lasers to stop villains with sweet smells!
I couldn’t stop giggling. I knew Ben 10 would totally approve.
Chapter Four: The Store That Knows Kids
I think the best part wasn’t just the toys. It was how the store made me feel. Everything was set up like a little adventure. There were tables to try things, a reading corner, a dollhouse corner, and even a station where you could test out your pencil grip.
The people there didn’t just say, “Do you want to buy this?” They asked, “What do you like to create?” and “What do you imagine when you draw?”
That’s how I knew this wasn’t just any shop. It really was the Best Toy Store in Gurgaon. Because it wasn’t about buying—it was about dreaming.
Chapter Five: My Room Became a Story
When I got home, I opened my Ben 10 drawing book and started sketching a team of new heroes. Maya, my Best Friend Doll, sat beside me holding a mini brush. I placed my Scentos pencils in a cup and filled the room with fruity smells.
That night, I didn’t want to watch cartoons. I wanted to draw.
I created a whole world: Maya was the artist who could paint paths to safety. Ben 10 teamed up with Strawberrazor to save a planet from the Stinkbug Army. And every page I filled smelled like joy.

The End (But Not Really)
Since that Sunday, I’ve gone back to the toy store with Dad, with Grandma, and with my cousin Tara. Every time, I find something new—another doll, a new pack of Scentos, a sticker sheet for my Ben 10 book.
And every time, I feel like I’m stepping back into my own story.
So if you’re a kid like me—or a grown-up who still believes in magic—you should visit this place too. It’s not just a toy store.
It’s a world of wonder. Read More!
